Hi! I’m Ashley.

Not too long ago, I hit a rough patch with my health. I was spending too much time in the doctor’s office and wasn’t loving it. After learning more about nutrition and the role food was playing in my health, things started to look up. Shortly after, I decided I wanted to up my fitness game and run a half marathon before I turned 30. And guess what?!? I did it!

Once I felt I had successfully created a healthy lifestyle for myself, I knew I wanted to help others do the same thing. Now I hold a Master’s in Sport and Exercise Psychology and am a certified Personal Trainer and Nutrition Coach. I have been lucky enough to help people in Mankato and the surrounding area for the past 6 years, and I LOVE IT!

Healthy lifestyles often get reduced to fads, restrictions, and sometimes pure insanity, but that just isn’t my style. Healthy lifestyles are about flexibility, balance, and moderation. They need to work in your current life, and you need to like what you’re doing or it’s never going to stick. Healthy lifestyles should be sustainable habits that don’t feel like an uphill fight every day. In short, a healthy lifestyle should be simple…not complicated.

As a person who has tested all these theories on themself and has helped many people achieve a healthy lifestyle that worked for them, I can confidently tell you that you can do it too. We just need to figure out what healthy lifestyle meets your needs and goals. No crash dieting, no insane days in the gym, no rearranging your life for an imaginary set of rules. Just your life, your health, and your journey.

Hi, I’m Matt.

When I was a younger and dumber, fresh faced soldier in the Army, I had no idea how to properly train for fitness. I would constantly just push through physical tasks regardless of my form or the strain it would put on my body. It did not take me long to realize that this kind of fitness was not sustainable in the long run. 

So I studied and became a personal trainer to figure out a better way to train. I am now a NASM certified personal trainer and I have been helping people in the Mankato area move better, get stronger, and feel healthier for over 6 years. 

Fitness isn’t about performing crazy gym routines six days a week or starving yourself on an unsustainable crash diet. Fitness is about having the energy to go out and do things, the strength to be confident in doing those things, and the mobility to get those things done pain and injury free.

As a person in my 40s, I know just how important it is to be healthy and fit. When you can roll over wrong in bed and end up injured, having a strong and mobile body can make all the difference between waking up in pain and waking up pain free. This is also why I prioritize preventing injury and teaching people how to move without pain.

My favorite thing is helping people who are new to the gym, or have been away for a little while, start their fitness journey in a safe, pain free way that works with their schedule and lifestyle. I don’t use a one size fits all system, so you can be sure you’ll get training tailored specifically to you.
